The Zibalian escape pod was a small Zibalian craft used to evacuate a ship during an emergency. Zibalian freighters were equipped with these type of escape pods.

In 2366, Lieutenant Commander Data attempted to use a Zibalian escape pod to escape from the Jovis, on which he was being held against his will by Kivas Fajo. However, he was stopped when Fajo threatened to use a Varon-T disruptor on his crewmember, Varria. (TNG: "The Most Toys")
