Yeoman Zahra was a member of Starfleet in the 23rd century, and a crewmember aboard the USS Enterprise in 2267.

In that year, Zahra participated in the landing party to the surface of Deneva investigating the mysterious loss of contact between the Deneva colony and the Federation. Along with the rest of the landing party, she came under attack by the mysterious extragalactic neural parasites which had invaded the colony, although she was able to escape unharmed. (TOS: "Operation -- Annihilate!")

Zahra is a recurring character in the ongoing comic series from IDW Publishing set in the alternate reality introduced in the 2009 film Star Trek, wherein she holds the rank of lieutenant, and is an accomplished pilot.
