The Xeploite are neutral, spacefaring race indigenous to the Alpha Quadrant. Xepolite free traders often work as intermediaries for the Cardassians, and many of the arrangements they are involved in are illegal. This included the smuggling of weapons to Cardassian colonists in the Demilitarized Zone. Unlike the Lissepians, they had never been discovered as of 2370.
A Xepolite ship encountered by Captain Benjamin Sisko and Gul Dukat in 2370 was able to reach a speed of Warp 9.8, and was equipped with reflective material that prevented scanning. (DS9: "The Maquis, Part II")
