The Circle's anti-alien grafitti

Xenophobia is a psychological, racist condition, the fear and hatred of anyone or anything foreign or alien or anything that is other than oneself. Someone who suffers from xenophobia is referred to as xenophobic, or a xenophobe.

In 2154, xenophobia was at heightened levels on Earth in the aftermath of the Xindi attack. While visiting San Francisco, Denobulan Doctor Phlox was confronted by an angry bar patron who didn't like him, resulting in a bar-room brawl. (ENT: "Home") The Xindi attack also fuelled the xenophobic Terra Prime movement. (ENT: "Demons", "Terra Prime")

The Dominion, created by the Founders, is built entirely on xenophobia. The Founders' main aim is to bring their style of order to what they see as the chaotic nature of solids throughout the universe. (DS9: "The Search, Part I")

The Cardassians have a tendency towards xenophobia. When scientists working on behalf of the Cardassian Central Command conducted a genetic engineering experiment designed to create more powerful soldiers by (among other things) amplifying this tendency, the results proved disastrous. Several soldiers were left behind when the Cardassian Union abandoned space station Empok Nor. (DS9: "Empok Nor")

The people of Kaelon II were considered isolationists, almost to the point of being xenophobes. (TNG: "Half a Life")

Another example of an extremely xenophobic species is the Paxans, who terraformed a planet in a T-Tauri class star system, near the Ngame Nebula (TNG: "Clues")

The Bajoran Alliance for Global Unity believed that Bajor belonged to the Bajorans and that all other races were inferior and thus should be expelled from their planet. (DS9: "The Homecoming", "The Circle", "The Siege")

Other xenophobic races include the Tholians and the Romulans. (ENT: "Future Tense"; TOS: "The Tholian Web")

The Varro are a xenophobic species. (VOY: "The Disease") The Ba'Neth are also extremely xenophobic. (VOY: "Riddles") The Devore are perhaps the most xenophobic species in the Delta Quadrant, especially towards telepaths. (VOY: "Counterpoint")
