The Xarantine are a species native to the Beta Quadrant in Xarantine sector.
The Klingons view them as being weak. However in 2151, the Xarantine were clever enough to poison some Xarantine ale before the Klingon ship Somraw attacked their outpost and stole it. (ENT: "Sleeping Dogs").
