The Xanthan marmot was an animal native to the Xanthan homeworld. It made a wonderful pet and was quite succulent when cooked properly.

A merchant at the Xanthan floating bazaar tried to sell Jonathan Archer one of these animals, but was rebuffed. (ENT: "Rajiin")
