The Defiant crew had an appointment on Earth in 2371. Admiral Wright was a Starfleet officer on Earth at the time. Bashir, Dax and Sisko were a post to be trancported to Earth, but were sent back in time to 2024, days before the Bell Riots. (DS9: "Past Tense, Part I")
