Wired is a full-color monthly magazine publishing in the United States. It primarily reports on how technology affects culture, the economy, and politics.

J.J. Abrams took over editing duties for the May 2009 issue focusing on Star Trek. The issue featured a number of articles about the movie and a six-page comic story written by Roberto Orci and Alex Kurtzman and illustrated by Paul Pope entitled "When Worlds Collide: Spock Confronts the Ultimate Challenge".
