William M. Newman (born 15 June 1934; age 78) is the actor from Chicago, Illinois who played Kalin Trose in the Star Trek: The Next Generation fourth season episode "The Host" in 1991. He filmed his scene on Wednesday 13 March 1991 on Paramount Stage 8.
His best known role among other films is Mr. Sprinkles in Mrs. Doubtfire. He also appeared in Disney's Tom and Huck as Doc Robinson.
