Jadzia Dax got him a bottle of Wee Bairns for his 45th birthday in 2373. (DS9: "The Assignment")
Miles later shared a bottle with his friends during a dinner party at Benjamin Sisko's quarters later that year. (DS9: "In the Cards")
The label of the bottle of the same name shows an image of the engine room and the legend "...now there's a drink for a man", a phrase used by Scotty to describe the drink in TOS: "The Trouble with Tribbles".
In 2375 O'Brien replicated chewing gum infused with the flavor of Wee Bairns scotch, even offered a stick to Julian Bashir. (DS9: "Take Me Out to the Holosuite")
In the Scots dialiect, "Bairn" is an affectionate word for 'child', so that "Wee bairns" is another way of saying 'little kids'. It was the term Montgomery Scott used to describe the engines of the USS Enterprise
