Walter Godfrey Irwin was co-editor, with G.B. Love, of Trek, a Star Trek fan magazine and "The Best of Trek" series of paperback books, which contained selected articles from Trek.

Irwin was a graduate in Journalism from the University of Houston. He passed away on 12 November 2004.
