Vulcan ranks

The Vulcan High Command has used ranks for hundreds of years to differentiate more experienced officer who have more responsibility from the lesser soldiers. The structure bears some resemblance to the Klingon and Romulan ranks.

Administrator

Administrator is the title given to the leader of the High Command. This person also seems to act as the Commander-in-Chief of the Vulcan military. (ENT: "The Forge")

Fleet Commander

Fleet Commander is the title given to the leader of a Vulcan fleet. The Fleet Commander is in charge of overseeing tactical maneuvers from the front lines. This is presumably held by a flag officer. (ENT: "Kir'Shara")

Captain

Captain's rank pin

Captain is the rank held by most starship commanders. It seems to be equal to a Starfleet Captain.

Commander

Commander is directly above subcommander. It would seem to fall between a Starfleet Commander and Starfleet Captain.

Subcommander is slightly higher in rank than a Starfleet commander. (ENT: "Broken Bow")

Major

A Major in 2154.

Major seems to be equal to a Starfleet lieutenant commander. (ENT: "Kir'Shara")

Lieutenant

Lieutenant is approximately equal to a Starfleet lieutenant.

No Vulcan Lieutenant has ever been seen or mentioned on Star Trek, although the existence of a Sublieutenant seems to imply it.

Sublieutenant

A Sublieutenant in 2154.

Sublieutenant is one of, if not the, lowest officer ranks in the Vulcan military. (ENT: "Kir'Shara")
