A voice film was an archival audio recording of an individual's voice.

In 2266, Captain James T. Kirk had Anton Karidian speak into an intercom unit in his quarters to record his voice, as a voice test. Kirk informed Karidian that his voice would be analyzed and compared to a voice film that the USS Enterprise had of Kodos the Executioner, who was responsible for having ordered the deaths of 4,000 colonists on Tarsus IV.
