Virginia is a region in the Mid-Altlantic region of the east coast of Earth's North American continent. It was a state in the nation known as the United States of America.
Many aviation and space artifacts from the Smithsonian Institution's collection are housed in the Udvar-Hazy Center in Chantilly, Virginia. These include the space shuttle Enterprise.
- It is possible that the Phoenix, which Jean-Luc Picard recalled having seen in the Smithsonian, is also housed at the Udvar-Hazy Center.
Maps of North America showing parts of Virginia and neighboring Washington, DC were downloaded from the USS Enterprise library computer by the Talosians in 2254. (TOS: "The Cage")

In an alternate version of 1944, Armory Officer Malcolm Reed discovered that battles had been fought in Virginia between the Nazi/Na'kuhl alliance and the American resistance.
