Veytan

Vaytan

Vaytan was the primary of the Vaytan planetary system located in Federation space. It was noteworthy for its superdense and extremely unstable corona.

The star was studied by Vulcan scientist Doctor T'Pan, and was also the test site for Dr. Reyga's metaphasic shielding in 2369. (TNG: "Suspicions")

A planet in this system, Vaytan I, appeared in the starchart Data and Picard were studying in stellar cartography in 2371. (Star Trek Generations, display graphic)
