Doctor Vatm was a Nezu astrophysicist who discovered that the asteroids bombarding his planet were being artificially manipulated by the Etanians to soften the Nezu defenses prior to invasion. He intended to present this evidence to the Nezu ambassidor aboard USS Voyager. Before Vatm could do so, though, he was poisoned by Dr. Sklar, a fellow scientist, who was betraying his people to the Etanians. (VOY: "Rise")

Vatm was played by Tom Towles.
