Vanessa L. Williams was born on the 18th of March 1963 in the Bronx, New York. She became the first African-American woman to become Miss America in 1984, but resigned later that year.
She played Arandis in the Star Trek: Deep Space Nine episode "Let He Who Is Without Sin...".
