The Valo system was a planetary system. This system was located on the outskirts of the Cardassian Union. In the mid-24th century, many Bajoran refugees fled to this system during the Occupation of Bajor. The system had three M-class planets, all containing Bajoran settlements. These planets were designated as Valo I, Valo II, and Valo III. There was, also, a Bajoran settlement on the third moon of Valo I.

The USS Enterprise-D entered the system in 2368 to investigate a possible terrorist threat from resistance leader Orta to the Federation. (TNG: "Ensign Ro")
