The Vagra system was a star system located in the Zed Lapis sector. In 2364, Captain Jean-Luc Picard, commander of the USS Enterprise-D, placed the second planet under quarantine to prevent the escape of the entity known as Armus.

In that year, an Enterprise shuttlecraft piloted by Ben Prieto and transporting ship's Counselor Deanna Troi crash-landed on Vagra II. The mother ship, responding to the distress call of her charge, entered the Vagra system in an effort to rescue the shuttle's occupants. (TNG: "Skin of Evil")
