V'Sal was a male Bolian civilian barber who worked in the barbershop on board the USS Enterprise-D in 2367.
Data encountered V'Sal and Geordi La Forge joking with each other in the barbershop shortly after stardate 44390. V'Sal was noted for telling La Forge "I'm just a barber, not a miracle worker." (TNG: "Data's Day")
V'Sal was played by actor Shelly Desai.
His name was not spoken in the episode, and derives from the script. [1]
The Star Trek Encyclopedia (2nd ed., p. 310) suggests that Mot (introduced in "Ensign Ro") was probably intended to be the same person.
