trek isn't real. things that happen on trek don't necessarly happen in real life. the reverse is also true. this is why there is no place here for non-trek info about the current news but we still have room for things that clearly didn't happen in 'real' history such as the Eugenics Wars.

And while we all mourn for those lost in London recently, there has been no mention of it in Star Trek (see: canon) because no trek has been produced since then. And the fact that this led to the United Earth Government is pure speculation. Welcome :-) -AJHalliwell 21:16, 8 Jul 2005 (UTC)
Yes, please refrain from speculating on the impact which contemporary events will have on the Star Trek universe. Also, do not include information that is not relevant to Trek; the attacks in London are a tragedy but they have not been (and could not have been) mentioned in any episode or movie and therefore do not belong as a part of the encyclopedia. All the same, welcome to Memory Alpha. --Shran 21:19, 8 Jul 2005 (UTC)
In reply to your comment in which you stated: "Sorry about the London reference. I wasn't fully aware of the rules concerning Star Trek canon:"
