Just a placeholder for my own future reference: Shakespeare and Star Trek
If time permits and depending on the consensus of the community (I'm very, very new here), I'd like to do some research and produce similar articles. For instance, the concept of race and Star Trek's treatment of it, both from positive and negative angles; the meta-Trek treatment of homosexuality and the well-known struggle with it; and the economics of the Trek universe. Not essays, but encyclopedic examinations of meta issues.
I currently plan to read this book once I get my hands on it. I'm always open to new and thought-provoking takes on a subject and not afraid to go beyond what I can find on Google!
