I'm a Bajoraphile, like the name shows. DS9 rocks my socks, as does Voyager. I'm a social science geek, and therefore a fan of social sci-fi. Techno-babble I tolerate, but I'm in this for the plots, the characters, the themes, the "message". You know, all the good stuff ;). Two last things affect how I think about Trek. First, I'm young enough to have not seen the first two series' original airings. TOS is like a strange AU to me; I'm a child of the 24th century! And that's the other thing: I'm female. Kind of because of that and just 'cuz I'm me, I have strong, hopefully enlightened opinions about how women are characterized on the modern series.
