Uranus (also known as Sol VII) was the seventh planet of the Sol system.
This planet was discovered after the invention of the telescope. (TNG: "Loud As A Whisper", okudagram)
In 1996, the position and orbital path of Uranus in the Sol system were depicted on a poster in the office where Rain Robinson worked, at the Griffith Observatory. (VOY: "Future's End")
In 2267, the position and orbital path of Uranus was illustrated on Chart 14A: The Sol System. The chart was filed in the USS Enterprise library computer. It was scanned by the probe Nomad in Auxiliary Control. (TOS: "The Changeling")
The studio model, USS Trinculo, was named after one of the moons of Uranus.
According to Star Trek: Star Charts ("United Federation of Planets I"), this planet was a charter member of the United Federation of Planets in 2161.
