Alien lifeform Edit

Aquatic lifeforms Edit

Aquatic lifeforms evolution table

A table with aquatic lifeforms

A table with an evolutionary diagram of various alien aquatic lifeforms was displayed in the classrooms aboard the USS Enterprise-D and on Deep Space 9. Some of the lifeforms were very fish-like while others looked distinctively mammalian and saurian. (TNG: "Imaginary Friend")

The table was first seen in the nursery in "The Child". It later appeared in the schoolroom aboard the Enterprise-D in "The Offspring", "Reunion", "Imaginary Friend", "Rascals", and "Masks". It also appeared in the biolab in "New Ground" and in the classroom aboard Deep Space 9 in "Cardassians". Some of the aliens show a striking similarity to aquatic dinosaurs or the famous Loch Ness monster
The diagram was created by Rick Sternbach, illustrating the "evolution of intelligent life on the planet Denkir IV", from a (non-Trek) science fiction story he wrote.

Ferenginar creatures Edit

Two statues depicting animals could be seen in Ishka's home on Ferenginar. (DS9: "Family Business")

Footprint and cell sample aliens Edit

Footprints and corresponding cell samples of several species were stored in the library computer of the Enterprise-D. Samples of at least five alien species were compared to the footprints and cell sample of the Tarchannen III species prior to its discovery. None of the samples was similar to the Tarchannen III lifeform however. (TNG: "Identity Crisis")

Goralis III animals Edit

Goralis Wolf

A wolf-like animal from the Goralis system

While stranded on Goralis III in 2375, Worf killed a large furry mammal, somewhat similar to a wolf, for food. Wolf also mentioned the planet having predators that might pose a threat to him. (DS9: "Penumbra")

Horned creature Edit

Reptile Communicator

A horned creature

The stylized image of a possibly reptilian or saurian creature with a unicorn-like horn could be seen on an Alpha Quadrant terrorist communicator and as a badge in use by two Delta Quadrant species, the Mari and the Ledosians. (TNG: "Starship Mine", VOY: "Random Thoughts", "Natural Law")

Klingon food insect Edit

Alien invertebrate (upper left)

An insectlike creature of unknown origin, was seen on a display in the Klingon restaurant on Deep Space 9. (DS9: "Playing God")

This creature might have been native to Qo'noS or another Klingon planet. It's placement on the display suggests it was edible, and on the restaurant menu.

Promenade skeleton Edit

Promenade fish 2

A fish-like skeleton

The skeleton of an animal, possibly fish-like, was displayed on Deep Space 9's promenade. (Star Trek: Deep Space Nine)

Rigel IV aliens Edit

Spaceflight Chronology alien creatures

Aliens encountered on Rigel IV

These aliens, encountered on Rigel IV, were displayed on viewscreens depicting data from the Enterprise-D library computer. (TNG: "The Last Outpost", "Datalore")

These drawings are from the Spaceflight Chronology. In the book, these images are presented as drawings of aliens encountered by the first Humans to visit Rigel IV. Only the encounter with the creature on the left was given by the captain in his log. He found the creature somewhat reminiscent of a porcupine. Its tentacles were waving in the air in anger, as a rigellian jewler was refusing to sell a large diamond to the creature for the ammount it was offering for the jewel

Slug-o-Cola slug Edit

The label of Slug-o-Cola bottles featured an image of an apparently man-sized, slug-like tentacled creature, gorging on the cola. (DS9: "Profit and Lace")
