The Qomar singing holographic matrix was a hologram created in 2376 by Tincoo, a Qomar mathematician. She was inspired to create the hologram by the Doctor. The hologram she created was designed to replace the Doctor, since she believed he was reluctant to leave the USS Voyager in order to pursue a musical career on the Qomar Homeworld. The hologram shared the same appearance of the Doctor, with the difference of looking like a Qomar, instead of a Human. It was designed to sing far more complex musical compositions than the Doctor was capable of. Specifically in was designed to extend the range of humanoid vocal capabilities. It's vocal processors were enhanced with polyphonic sequencers and it could produce multiharmonic overtones through the use of amplitude vascillation. In reality this meant it could produce it's own musical accompaniment, produce complicated and intensely high or low tones for unlimited periods of time and sound as if it was singing with several voices at once. The hologram first performed during the goodbye concert of the Doctor on the Qomar homeworld, were it received a standing ovation from the Qomar audience when it performed the first piece of music ever created by a Qomar, in this case by Tincoo. Mostly because they found the mathematical aspect of music interesting and fascinating. The Voyager crew who heard it sing found it very annoying and unpleasant to listen to, as would most humanoids. If anything the hologram showed that the Qomar still didn't have a true understanding of the real meaning of music, that it didn’t revolve around algorithms, binary syntax and quadratic equations but around emotions, artistry and soul. Minosian Peddler

Minosian

A Minosian peddler

The Minosian peddler was an automated sales-pitchman for the Minosian Arms Industry of the planet Minos, who were noted for technologically advanced weaponry, an example of which was the Echo Papa 607. The salesman promised good deals and promised peace through superior firepower.

At first the Enterprise crew believed him to be real. They soon realized that it was a pre-recorded holographic message, and that the Minosian civilization had been wiped out by their own weapons. (TNG: "The Arsenal of Freedom")

The Minosian salesman was played by actor Vincent Schiavelli.
