List of unnamed members of the "dream species."

Dream AlienEdit

Dream species

A member of the Dream species.

The Dream Alien was a member of a species who live out their lives in dreams. They attack waking species by causing communal nightmares that one cannot be woken from. In 2374, they attacked the crew of USS Voyager this way and claimed the ship. The Dream Alien was awoken by Chakotay in an attempt to learn more about the species' technology and plans. The alien explained that the dream state is their reality. For centuries they've been harmed by "waking species," and now they are retaliating. His plot was foiled when Chakotay using a stimulant the The Doctor gave him, found the alien and threatened to destroy the cavern the aliens were sleeping in if the dream alien did not deactivate a device causing the crew to remain in a communal sleep. Under threat of destruction, the dream alien was forced to neutralize the transmitter, and the crew awakened, freed from alien control. (VOY: "Waking Moments")
