The bassoon player was portrayed by noted jazz bass player Ritt Henn who received no credit for his appearance.
The call sheet for Thursday 4 April 1991 is listing him as "sideline musician".

This female command division ensign believed herself to be a ballerina after the Enterprise-D entered a region of space where thoughts become reality. She was dancing in a cargo bay until Captain Jean-Luc Picard addressed her. She later sat on the ground and thought about her dream. (TNG: "Where No One Has Gone Before")

The ballerina was played by Victoria Dillard.
In the episode, according to the subtitles and audio, Picard addresses her with the rank of an ensign although she is not wearing a rank pin.

He was also on the bridge when the Enterprise-D encountered a Ferengi Template:ShipClass marauder in orbit of Delphi Ardu IV for the first time. He fell asleep on his console when life support was nearly completely down due to an ancient Tkon Empire outpost. (TNG: "The Last Outpost")

He was working on his console on the aft section of the bridge when the ship stranded in a galaxy in which dreams became reality. (TNG: "Where No One Has Gone Before")
