The Kohl physician was one of Viorsa's companions in his virtual reality stasis program. He survived an environmental catastrophe by going into artificial hibernation. The computer controlling the hibernation had manifested the worst fears of he and his companions subconscious minds into the persona of an evil Clown. He was a prisoner to that fear. He was rescued by the crew of USS Voyager, who tricked the Clown into releasing him and his surviving companion. (VOY: "The Thaw")

The Kohl physician was played by actor Tony Carlin.
