Umoth VII is a planet that was formerly a colony of the United Federation of Planets. It was located within what later became the Cardassian Demilitarized Zone.
In 2370, the newly-formed Maquis believed Cardassian agents sabotaged the food replicators on Umoth VII in an attempt to poison colonists who refused to leave the planet. (DS9: "The Maquis, Part I")
