The USS Liberator (NCC-67016) was a Federation starship that was in service with Starfleet in the mid-24th century. Liberator fought the Borg at the Battle of Wolf 359 in 2367. It was destroyed, along with 38 other starships. The shuttlecraft Kotoi was detached from this vessel, and destroyed also. (TNG: "The Best of Both Worlds, Part II")
A model of the Liberator was not present in the wreckage of Wolf 359, but one of its shuttlecraft was, pictured in The Art of Star Trek, page 102, which was where we get the name and registry number. The name of the starship was a reference to the 'hero' ship from Blake's 7.
