USS Korolev (NCC-2014) was a Federation starship that was in service with Starfleet in the late 23rd century.

In 2293, the Korolev was assigned to an undisclosed diplomatic mission near Klingon territory during the time Operation Retrieve was proposed. (Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country)

Background

The Korolev was not mentioned in dialog, but was listed on a display screen on the bridge set. While not official sources, both Last Unicorn Games and Decipher RPG supplements state that this vessel may be a Template:ShipClass starship.

It is unclear if this ship is related to the Template:ShipClass which was employed during the 2360s. According to the Star Trek Encyclopedia, this class is named after the Russian scientist and engineer Sergey Korolyov.
