The USS Hermes (NCC-10376) was a Federation starship that was in service with Starfleet in the mid-24th century.

In early 2368, the Hermes was docked at Starbase 234's spacedock for major repairs. It was prematurely deployed, despite the yard superintendent's belief the ship was not ready for launch, to serve as part of Captain Jean-Luc Picard's task force that blockaded the Klingon-Romulan border during the Klingon Civil War.

During the initial deployment of the tachyon detection grid, the Hermes was positioned near the center of the grid, and was directly linked with the USS Aries, USS Ajax, USS Goddard and USS Tian An Men. Following the withdrawal of the USS Excalibur from the grid, the Hermes was no longer linked with the Aries and Goddard. (TNG: "Redemption II")

According to the Star Trek Encyclopedia, the Hermes was an Antares-class starship. Its registry appeared in the okudagram depicting ships deployed in the tachyon detection grid.
