The USS Gorkon rendezvousing with the USS Enterprise-D
The USS Gorkon (NCC-40512) was an Excelsior-class Federation starship in service in the 24th century.
In late 2369, the Gorkon was Admiral Alynna Nechayev's flagship for the task force that prepared for a possible renewed Borg invasion that year. (TNG: "Descent, Part I")
- If the Gorkon remained Nechayev's flagship following the Borg incursion, it is also possible that it was the ship later seen rendezvousing with the Enterprise-D in TNG: "Preemptive Strike", when Picard met with Nechayev to discuss possibly infiltrating the Maquis.
- Named for the Klingon chancellor Gorkon.
