The USS Gallico was a Federation starship that was in service with Starfleet in the late 24th century. In 2370, under the command of Captain J. Priestly, this starship departed from Starbase 58 bound for Deep Space 9 and was scheduled to arrive at the space station on stardate 47544.5. (DS9: "Whispers")
The Gallico was only seen as a not-very-clear name in an okudagram list on Sisko's desk monitor. It has been mistaken for several other plausible names, such as "Galice." This vessel is possibly named for Paul Gallico, author of The Poseidon Adventure.
