The USS Constellation (NCC-55817) was a 24th century Federation starship operated by Starfleet.

In 2364, this starship was commanded by Captain Louis Rubenstein. In that year, Gregory Quinn of Starfleet Operational Support Services sent a mission order to this ship about revised ship refit specs. Later that year, this order was read by Lieutenant Commander Data during an investigation into an alleged conspiracy in the highest levels of Starfleet Command. (TNG: "Conspiracy", okudagram)

In 2371, the Constellation was ordered to Deep Space 9 to transport a Jem'Hadar child to Starfleet for study. (DS9: "The Abandoned")

During the Dominion War, in mid-2374, it was assigned to assist the USS Defiant in the search for survivors of the Cardassian attack on the USS Honshu. (DS9: "Waltz")

The image of the ship accompanying the order was taken from materials developed by FASA for their version of Star Trek: The Role Playing Game. According to that source, it was an Orion Wanderer-class blockade runner.
