The USS Biko was a 24th century Federation Oberth-class starship operated by Starfleet.
In 2369, the supply ship rendezvoused with the USS Enterprise-D at Deinonychus VII after an initial delay of forty-eight hours. (TNG: "A Fistful of Datas")
The Biko was named for Steve Biko, a South African anti-apartheid activist who was murdered by police in 1977. The Encyclopedia gave the registry number of this vessel as NCC-50331. (Star Trek Encyclopedia 2nd ed., p. 44)
For the appearance of the Biko, stock footage of the USS Cochrane from "The Drumhead" was used, with a planetary backdrop added.
