The USS Antares was an alternate reality Federation starship that was in service to Starfleet in the latter half of the 23rd century. In 2258, Antares was docked at Starbase 1 when Vulcan came under attack by Nero. Several cadets from Starfleet Academy were assigned to this ship, including cadet Petrovsky. The Antares later fought in the Battle of Vulcan, where it was destroyed by the Narada along with several other starships. (Star Trek)
