The USS Al-Batani (NCC-42995) was an Excelsior-class Federation starship in service during the 24th century.
Under the command of Captain Owen Paris, the Al-Batani participated in the Arias Expedition, with future Voyager captain Kathryn Janeway serving as science officer. (VOY: "Caretaker") At one point during the mission, the Al-Batani was trapped by intense gravimetric forces inside a proto-nebula for three days. (VOY: "Bride of Chaotica!") Janeway once disabled power to six decks of the Al-Batani after misaligning the positronic relays. (VOY: "Shattered")
- The Al-Batani appears to have been named after the 9th and 10th-century Arab prince and astronomer of the same name. Class and registry are from the Star Trek Encyclopedia.
