Tzi Ma is the actor who played the role of a biomolecular specialist in the Star Trek: The Next Generation second season episode "Samaritan Snare".

Ma also played the role of Consul Han in the movie Rush Hour and a character called "The General" in the Coen brothers' remake of The Ladykillers. More recently, he appeared in a recurring role as Cheng Zhi on the television series 24.
