The Tyran system was a planetary system. A planet in this system, Tyrus VII, was inhabited by the Tyrans, a warp capable humanoid species. Tyrus VIIa, a moon of Tyrus VII, was the location of the Particle Fountain Project in 2369. (TNG: "The Quality of Life")
