Ty Murphy is an actor who appeared as an armed guard in the Star Trek: Voyager episode "Concerning Flight". He received no on-screen credit for his appearance and was identified by the name tag of his costume which was sold off on the It's A Wrap! sale and auction on eBay where his name was misspelled as Ty Murphey. [1] He also wore a Romulan uniform in an episode of Voyager which was previously worn by Dennis Madalone, Jay Marks, and James Tweedell on Star Trek: Deep Space Nine. This costume was also sold off on the It's A Wrap! sale and auction on eBay. [2]
In 1998 he appeared in the independent film Heaven & the Suicide King alongside Nikita Ager and Francis Praksti. He also served as stand-in for the 1999 comedy Seven Girlfriends, starring Olivia d'Abo, Michael Buchman Silver, and Stephanie Erb, and performed in the 2000 drama Bounce, with Julianne Christie and Scott Alan Smith.
