Trill was a M-class planet in the Trill system. It was the homeworld of two sentient species, the humanoid Trill and the non-humanoid Trill symbionts.

Star Trek: Star Charts suggested that the Trill homeworld was in the Kalandra sector. It also stated, on page 36, that Trillius Prime was another name for the planet Trill, and that this planet was located in the Alpha Quadrant.
From this same source, on page 33, the planetary capital of Trill was Mak'ala, that the planet was admitted into the Federation in 2285, and that this species had warp drive since antiquity. Attractions on the planet included Hoobishan Baths, Tenarlan Ice Cliffs, and the Caves of Mak'ala. The population, 650 million Trill and 11 million Symbionts, were governed by the Trill Symbiosis.
On page 44, this planet was named as a stop on the Earth trade routes in the 22nd century, and, in the star chart United Federation of Planets I, this planet was listed as a United Federation of Planets member.
