The Trialan sun is the star of the Trialus system, a star system in the Gamma Quadrant.
When in orbit of the planet Meridian, a probe was launched into the sun's corona by the USS Defiant. Probe telemetry revealed that the fusion reactants in the sun's core were out of balance, creating a cascade reaction which caused Meridian to shift between dimensions. (DS9: "Meridian")
