Torona IV was the fourth planet in the Torona planetary system in the Jaradan sector. It was the homeworld of the Jarada.
In 2364, the USS Enterprise-D conducted a diplomatic mission to Torona IV, where Jean-Luc Picard successfully opened relations between the United Federation of Planets and the Jarada. (TNG: "The Big Goodbye")
The location of the planet was labeled in the starchart Data and Picard were studying in stellar cartography in 2371. (Star Trek Generations, display graphic)
While in "The Big Goodbye" episode the Enterprise-D is only said to have arrived to the Jaradan sector, the planet seen on screen was named both in the script [1] and in Template:St as Torona IV.
Torona IV, as the homeworld of the Jarada, also appeared in the novels Demons of Air and Darkness and Twilight.
