A toroidal antenna is a communications device located on the outside of a Federation class 2 shuttle.
In 2373, Lieutenant Tuvok asked Neelix to inspect the signal relays on the toroidal antennae, after their shuttle crash-landed on a Nezu colony planet. (VOY: "Rise")
