Tom DeFalco (born 26 June 1950; age 61) is a comic book author and editor. He began his writing career at Archie Comics before moving on to Marvel Comics. During his time at Marvel, he created the character "Dazzler" and became the writer of one of the most popular periods for Spider-Man in the 1980s. He was also the co-creator of "Spider-Girl" with Ron Frenz, a regular collaborator.

In 1987, DeFalco became editor-in-chief at Marvel, succeeding Jim Shooter, a position he stayed in until 1994. During his tenure, he continued to write on a number of series, including Thor and the Fantastic Four.
