Tom Corbin was a scientist stationed aboard the USS Enterprise-D during the late 2360s. Corbin was assigned to the science lab, where he occasionally worked with Keiko O'Brien.

In 2367, when her husband, Miles O'Brien, was suffering from a lack of REM sleep due to an alien telephatic wave, he got extremely jealous when Keiko came home late one night from the science lab, where Corbin was, accusing her of using "any excuse to pay him a visit." (TNG: "Night Terrors")
