Tom Connole is a camera operator and cinematographer who was Second Assistant Camera on Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan. This film was his first Hollywood project.

After Star Trek, Connole served as a camera assistant on such films as Into the Night (1985, featuring Bruce McGill) and Pretty Woman (1990, starring Jason Alexander). His credits as a camera operator include the films Dutch (1991, starring Christopher McDonald), Heart and Souls (1993, starring Alfre Woodard), Bye Bye Love (1995, featuring production design by Linda DeScenna), The Negotiator (1998, featuring Tim Kelleher and Michael Shamus Wiles), The Astronaut's Wife (1999, starring Samantha Eggar and Donna Murphy), Tomcats (2001, featuring David Ogden Stiers), and Van Helsing (2004). He was also Second Camera Operator on the 1999 science fiction comedy Galaxy Quest, a parody of the Star Trek phenomenon.

In addition, Connole operated cameras on the television series Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman (starring Teri Hatcher and K Callan) and Chicago Hope. He was also a camera operator for the Second Unit of such films as Angels in the Outfield (1994, starring Christopher Lloyd and Neal McDonough; featuring First Unit cinematography by Matthew F. Leonetti) and Batman & Robin (1997, featuring John Glover; with set design work by Dawn Brown and Keith Cunningham). His uncredited film work as a camera operator include the 1997 action-thriller The Jackal (featuring Daniel Dae Kim and Richard Lineback).

Connole was Second Unit Director of Photography on such films as Fearless (1993, featuring Steven Culp and John de Lancie), Dear God (1996, featuring Stephanie Niznik), and Runaway Bride (1999, featuring Paul Dooley). He was the Additional Director of Photography on the films Congo (1995, featuring Carolyn Seymour), and Bounce (2000, working under Robert Elswit). More recently, he was the First Unit Director of Photography on several independent films, including 2001's Chasing Sunsets, starring James Avery. Currently, Connole is shooting commercials in Europe.
