Todd Matthews was an early 21st century novelist and author of Hotel Royale. He was a low-level writer known for using clichéd characters and overall bad writing. A copy of his novel was brought aboard the NASA shuttle Charybdis, commanded by Colonel Stephen G. Richey, in 2037. (TNG: "The Royale")
